  • The history of the RAF and the Deutscher Herbst.

I was thinking about starting a little list of film-people who look TOTALLY alike, although they're not related (most probably). Because lately I've seen lots where I thought I know the actor although it was someone else. And I'm not blind thank you very much. So, finally an idea for a blog post. But right now, of course, I can't think of any, so when it comes back to me I'll post it right away. Promise. :)

Oh I forgot to add, Wallis Bird was awesome. She bounced around the stage like a little rubber ball and was a lot of fun all around.
I tried to take pictures but a) it didn't really work, I was too far away, it was blurry etc etc. And b) I wanted to enjoy the show, understandable right ?! (Some people were filming though, maybe there will appear some videos on the web soon.)

  • I resisted the urge to put yet another Frank Turner song up here. I picked something a little more summer-y instead. Other than that, I wish I was at Kelka Pride, it looks like they're having a blast...oh well.
A friend of mine showed me the work of Banksy, a english artist. He does some kind of guerilla art that's critical, but not in a tacky way. Like for example going into a penguin enclosure and writing "we're bored of fish". I appreciate that kind of humor. But he also created some thought-provoking pieces that make me choke up. Go look him up.

  • It feels like I haven't been on here for ages, phew. But then again, I don't write much anyway, so who cares.
I've always taken pride in being kind of nerdy when it comes to music. There's also the probability of a *little* arrogance. And it's weird for me to hear songs I know when I don't expect them. Latest examples, Sara Bareilles in the new Patrick Dempsey chick flick. Why oh why ? I guess it's good for her that she's more successful now.
And then, there was a Silversun Pickups song in Prom Night. The trailer seems nice enough but this movie, it's sooo bad !!!! (I'd choose Patrick Dempsey over that any day) That's "when good soundtracks happen to horrible films".

And last and least, here's an example of how people sound around where I live...

The policeman is super though, my coach sounds just like him.... maybe it IS him....

  • Worse Things Happen At Sea
  • Saturday, January 26, 2008

Oh my goodness, I have no time for anything anymore !! Maybe I should cut out sleeping, it's so annoying sometimes. But, since I work so much (and since I don't seem to have anything else to talk about), I'm gonna state my opinion about the movie I got so see recently: [Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.]
    I Am Legend:
Good, set aside the religious bits. I'd rather forget everything after the explosion. Will Smith carried the film well, my co-workers said they didn't think he could pull it off. Engaging atmosphere. The CGI zombies didn't do it for me. (A funny detail, the girl zombie looks like Dana Fairbanks !!)

    Keinohrhasen:
I didn't expect a lot from watching the trailer. But actually it's a lot of fun and the soundtrack is superb. Not just because it's music I'd listen to at home but it accompanies the plot well and gives the film a cool flair. German popcorn cinema at its best, no more, no less.

    The Bucket List:
Great performances as expected. It's obvious where the story goes and until then it's funny and a little melancholic. It was refreshing to see a character driven film again. I think I'm gonna start a bucket list too, it's never too early.

    PS. I Love You:
Unexpectedly hilarious and not too sappy as it could have turned out. The characters are distant. Harry Connick Jr. has a weird face. I sighed through the second half when after they arrived in Ireland.... Ireland *sigh*.

    More later, bored now.
